Interex deals directly with all the major ocean container lines in addition to working with bulk shipments where appropriate.
High-value products, like SPF J-grade, Western Red Cedar, SPF boards and profiled Tongue & Groove Paneling, are stored undercover. We maintain 9,000 m2 or 90,000 sf of undercover storage at one site in the Greater Vancouver area. This 21-acre site and warehouse is serviced by rail and can accommodate container storage to minimize container movement to and from the Greater Vancouver port area.
We maintain 250 – 300 containers of SPF J-grade on site in order to respond to immediate requests for prompt shipments.
In addition, this same facility is capable of handling import containers for unloading and distribution to Canada and the USA.
Vancouver is serviced by 4 container terminals: Centerm, Vanterm, Fraser-Surrey and Delta Port. On average, each of these container terminals is 25 km away from our warehouse. In addition to our export footprint in Western Canada, we have strong working relationships with loading and distribution facilities in Alberta, Saskatchewan, Quebec, and the Southeastern and Southwestern United States, allowing our company to be well-positioned to field export and import inquiries to and from North America.
