Western Red Cedar (WRC) is naturally resistant to rot, decay and insect attacks and is the most dimensionally stable of all the North American softwoods. WRC has been used for thousands of years to provide West Coast First Nations peoples with durable housing materials.

Today, because of WRC’s natural attributes, it is used extensively for roofing materials, exterior sidewalls, windows and doors, interior finishing, landscaping materials, pergolas, and decking. Interex Forest Products Ltd. offers a complete line of outdoor decking products from Surfaced Four Sides (S4S) Eased Edges (EE) 2×4 to 2×12 and 4×4. Other products are available in Rough Sawn Appearance grades.

WRC Bevel Siding, Channel Siding, Tongue and Groove paneling are also available in Sound Tight Knot (STK) grades.
