Carrier Lumber

A family-owned company with manufacturing operations in British Columbia and Saskatchewan, Carrier has a long tradition of innovation and quality. The company’s primary export mill in Prince George, British Columbia, produces 395,000 cubic meters annually of premium-quality kiln-dried SPF CLS dimension lumber. Operations in Big River, Saskatchewan, add an additional 395,000 cubic meters of annual capacity.

Lumber sizes range from 2×4 through 2×12, up to 20 ft (6.0m) in length. Carrier’s strict quality controls in dressing, drying and packaging, and in lumber storage at the mill site assure maximum care and protection. Carrier has been shipping lumber to Japan since 1975, and enjoys an excellent reputation in that market for high quality J-Grade lumber for the 2×4 housing industry. Carrier was one of the first of Interex’s member companies to supply PEFC™ Chain of Custody (CoC) certified sustainable products in response to the growing importance of environmental management systems.
